Continuing a cherished tradition, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will celebrate a special Mass Oct. 15 with hundreds of Catholic school students from across the Diocese.
Students from local elementary and secondary schools are scheduled to join the Bishop, along with many of the Diocese’s priests, for the annual Catholic Schools Mass in St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold.
The Mass is not open to the public, but those wishing to watch remotely can view the livestream on the diocesan YouTube channel, youtube.com/dioceseoftrenton.
The Mass will begin at 10:15 a.m. with a procession, during which students will carry flags or banners representing their respective schools. Students from St. Charles Borromeo School, Cinnaminson, will form the choir and lead the music for the Mass.
For the second year, the diocesan Department of Catholic Schools will present the Lumen Gentium Award to a deserving school.
