Robert Joseph Waters Jr., former teacher in Delran high school

Robert Joseph Waters, Jr., who served on the faculty of Holy Cross High School, Delran, for 40 years, died Dec. 25. He was 67. 

Funeral services are schedule for Jan. 18 in Corpus  Christi Church, Willingboro, with a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m., and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.

A resident of Willingboro, Mr. Waters was a graduate of Corpus Christi School; Holy Cross High School, and the Camden campus of Rutgers University where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in geology.  He focused his career on teaching in Holy Cross High School, where he served for 40 years.

Predeceased by his parents, Robert J. Waters, Sr. and Eloise M. Waters, he is survived by sisters: Susan (Michael) Short of Lewes, Del., Kathleen Waters of Louisville, Ky., and Patricia (David) Mutschler of Davidsonville, Md.; a nephew and niece and their families; as well as many friends.

Internment will be at the family’s convenience at a future date.
