Some 250 families from about eight parishes in the Diocese went on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pa. on Sept. 14. Together the families participated in prayer experiences such as the Mass that was celebrated in the shrine's Lower Crypt Church and procession with the Blessed Sacrament around the shrine's spacious grounds. Father Alberto Tamayo, C.O., pastor of the Oratory Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Red Bank, celebrated the Mass and preached the homily in English and Spanish.

The families also had time for fun and fellowship while having a picnic lunch outside and playing games such as soccer and they even had a tug of war match.

More to come on this story.
