Parishes in the Diocese of Trenton have scheduled the following events:

St. Peter Church, 406 Forman Ave., Point Pleasant Beach, will host a CHRISTMAS-EPIPHANY DAY OF PRAYER Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants are invited to celebrate the 12th day of Christmas as a day of reflection during which they will pray for world peace. A $15 stipend ,made payable to Franciscan Friars, can be sent to Father Noel Danielewicz, OFM. Conv., St. Catherine of Siena Friary, 50 E Street., Seaside Park, N.J. 08752. Deadline to pre-register is Dec. 31.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Moorestown, will host its next “FIRST SUNDAYS” event Jan. 7 at 3 p.m. in the church, 42 W. Main St. Included will be a musical performance featuring Sean Higgins and his daughters, Megan and Jennifer, both graduates of Our Lady of Good Counsel School. Higgins is a longtime parishioner and has been playing the piano and guitar since childhood. Meghan Higgins currently teaches in Pope Paul VI High School, Haddonfield, and Jennifer Higgins is a senior in Camden Catholic High School.

St. Pius X Parish, Forked River, JOURNEY THROUGH GRIEF BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP will begin its eight-week winter session Jan. 9. Sessions meet for eight consecutive Tuesdays at 2 p.m. Team members are experienced, certified bereavement facilitators who emotionally and spiritually support those who are grieving the death of a loved one. Participation is free of charge and is limited to adults who have suffered their loss prior to October 2023.

Registration forms, brochures and information sheets are available in the church narthex and parish office. Mail completed forms directly to Paula Little, 24 Cedar St., Barnegat, N.J. 08005 by Jan. 2.
