Funeral services for Marie A. Sirianni, mother of two priests

Funeral services will begin May 19 with visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. in Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., Long Branch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 20 at 11 a.m. in Star of the Sea Church of Christ the King Parish, Chelsea and Second Ave., Long Branch.
Mrs. Sirianni was born in 1931 in Manhattan, N.Y., and grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, N.Y. She graduated from Fort Hamilton High School and Business School in 1949. She worked for GMAC in New York City.
In 1953, she married her husband, Anthony “Tut” Sirianni and they relocated to Long Branch. Together, they owned and operated Sirianni’s Friendly Café in the West End section of Long Branch. Along with raising her family and her involvement in the family business, she was also active in various civic and religious organizations including the Columbiettes of Trenton Council, Knights of Columbus, the PTA of Holy Trinity School, Long Branch, the St. Peter Apostle Society, the Older & Wiser Club of St. Michael Parish, West End, the Altar-Rosary Society of Christ the King Parish, the Holy Trinity Senior Citizens Club, the long Branch Senior Citizens Club and she volunteered at the Long Branch Senior Center.
Mrs. Sirianni was predeceased by her daughter, Mary, her parents and her husband. In addition to her two priest-sons, she is survived by sons Michael Sirianni of Long Branch, and Joseph (Ann Marie) Sirianni of Elberon; a brother and sister-in-law; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will follow the Funeral mass in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Long Branch. Memorial donations may be made to VNA Health Group, 23 Main St., Suite D1, Holmdel, N.J. 07735 or St. Helena School, 930 Grove Ave., Edison, N.J. 08820.
