Seminarian reaches milestone as newly instituted acolyte

The institution of acolytes is part of the formation for diaconate ordination. Acolytes are instituted to serve at the altar and to assist the priest and deacon, and as special ministers to give Holy Communion to the faithful at the liturgy and to the sick.
Clingerman is in his third year of theology and is on a path to be ordained a transitional deacon this May. In all there are 13 men who are preparing for the priesthood for the Diocese.
