Patricia D. Martin, served in Department of Pastoral Care

Funeral services were held in Wayne Avenue Baptist Church, Trenton, Feb. 4 for Patricia D. Martin who died Jan. 29 in Compassionate Care Hospice in St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. She was 62.
Mrs. Martin was on staff in the Diocesan Chancery in the Department of Pastoral Care.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Martin was educated in the Trenton Public School system and was a graduate of Trenton Central High School. She continued her education in Mercer County Community College. She was an active member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church where she sang with the Revival Choir and served with the senior usher, the hospitality and scholarship ministries.
Mrs. Martin worked for the State of New Jersey and retired after 26 years of service before joining the Department of Pastoral Care.
Mrs. Martin was predeceased by her parents, Butler and Lila Killingworth; her husband, Lester A. Martin, Jr.; a daughter, Alvina Roberta Martin-Forthner. She was survived by three daughters, Nanette Martin; Patricia Martin, and Juliane Martin (Jerome) Williams; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Interment was in Ewing Cemetery.
