Parish to remember persecuted Iraqi Christians with evening of prayer, discussions

The Altar-Rosary Society in St. Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach, will host an “Evening of Prayer and Updates on the Plight of Persecuted Christians in Iraq” April 22 at 7 p.m. in Upper Kolbe Hall.
Guest speaker, Norma Intriago, development director of the Catholic Near East Welfare Association, will share stories of Iraqi Christian families who have been driven from their ancestral homes by ISIS and how CNEWA in partnership with the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena are providing much needed home for the displaced.
Refreshments will be served following Intriago’s talk. For more information, contact Dorothy O’Reilly at 732-575-7913.
