July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

The “Fire of Faith” Spirituality Committee of St. Catharine-St. Margaret Parish, Spring Lake, will present an eight-part DVD series by Father Jeff Kirby entitled “Kingdom of Happiness” beginning Oct. 3 in the Francis Duffy Hall of St. Margaret Church, 300 Ludlow Ave., Spring Lake. Morning sessions will be held from 10:15 a.m. to 12 noon, and evening sessions are scheduled for 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

“Kingdom of Happiness” will discuss how the Beatitudes are much more than nice sayings, but are the path to happiness charted by Christ himself. It will inspire a renewed resolve to walk that path through video profiles of real-life people living the Beatitudes in their everyday life.

Presenter Father Jeff Kirby is a priest of Our Lady of Grace Parish, Indian Land, S.C. He holds a doctorate in moral theology from Holy Cross University in Rome and a master of arts in philosophy from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. Father Kirby has authored several books, including “Lord, Teach Us to Pray” and “Kingdom of Happiness: Living the Beatitudes in Everyday Life.”

Father Kirby was the Host of the award-winning program “Doors of Mercy” and was one of the co-instructors of the programs, “Luke: The Gospel of Mercy” and “Jesus Revealed.”

Cost of the program is $40, which covers a study guide, video streaming, and light refreshments. To register, see www.fireoffaith.com, or call the parish office at 732-449-5765 ext. 167.
