Mount Carmel Guild readies for 23rd annual gala

Mount Carmel Guild, a diocesan outreach agency located in inner-city Trenton, will host its 23rd Annual Gala at Trenton Country Club on Oct. 19. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. and include a cocktail hour, dinner and keynote address by Sister of St. Joseph Pat McGinley, pastoral associate in St. Ann Parish, Lawrenceville. The gala will also consist of a silent auction with the proceeds benefiting the Guild’s  Emergency Assistance and Home Health Nursing Programs.

A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of awards to women and men who have dedicated themselves to serving their local communities in numerous ways. The honorees are:

Peter Brennan, Incarnation-St. James Parish, Ewing
Paula Dunne, St. David the King Parish, Princeton Junction
Rose Gallagher, St. George Parish, Titusville
Joann Held, St. James Parish, Pennington
Peg Kowalski, St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square
Beth Meagher, St. Paul Parish, Princeton, and St. Ann School, Lawrenceville
Deacon Jeffery Pierfy, Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Hamilton
Robert Rushnak, St. George Parish, Titusville
Ray Wadsworth, St. Paul Parish, Princeton (Posthumous)
Jackie Wadsworth, St. Paul Parish, Princeton
Roger Zurro, St. Mary Parish, Colts Neck

Gala tickets are $175 per person if purchased before Oct. 15 or $200 after Oct. 15, space permitting.
