Funeral services for Dr. Owen A. Chang

Dr. Owen A. Chang, father of Father John Chang, pastor of St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, Hamilton, died Aug. 3 at age 85.
Funeral services will begin with visiting hours in Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Rte. 130 N., Cinnaminson, on Aug. 7 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Aug. 8 form 9-10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2226 Riverton Rd., Cinnaminson.
Born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies, Dr. Chang lived and raised his family in Cinnaminson before moving to Moorestown in 1992 and later Pennsauken.
Dr. Chang was an alumnus of Jefferson Medical College, Class of 1956. He interned in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Camden, served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps, 1957-1959, and opened a solo, private, family practice in 1959 in Cinnaminson.
Dr. Chang was a daily communicant and lifelong, active parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, an active member of the parish’s Holy Name Society and was active Fourth Degree member of the St. John Neumann Council, Knights of Columbus, Delran. He also sang with the Filipino choir in St. Charles Borromeo Parish.
Dr. Chang was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann, and his parents, Lucille and George Chang. In addition to Father Chang, he is survived by XX children, Robert Chang, Owen (Kim) Chang; Anita (Joe Monaghan, Kathy (Dave) Howard, Joanne (Pat) Lubin, James (Peggi Hunter) Chang, and Michael (Jennifer) Chang; 13 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
