Funeral services for Deacon Charles "Chuck" Perkins

Father Edward Blanchett, pastor of Jesus, The Good Shepherd Parish, Riverside, was principal celebrant of a Mass of Christian Burial March 26 in St. Joseph Church, a worship site of Jesus The Good Shepherd Parish, Riverside, for Deacon Charles A. “Chuck” Perkins who died March 19. He was 72.
Born and raised in Burlington City, Deacon Perkins was a US Air Force Veteran who served during the Vietnam era. He worked for Hercules Powder Company and then for and retired from Congoleum in Trenton.
Deacon Perkins was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sons of the American Revolution. He was ordained a deacon for the diocese May 11, 1996, by Bishop John C. Reiss.
Deacon Perkins was the son of the late Charles Henry and Hazel Hudson Perkins. He was predeceased by his brother, Samuel Bud Perkins, and a sister, Nancy Lee Brazuk.
Deacon Perkins is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lucille Carnivale Perkins; a son Charles Perkins of Willingboro; a daughter, Angela Perkins of Willingboro; a granddaughter, Angelina Perkins; one sister, Sandy (Larry) Raber; two brothers, Roland William; James (Colleen); a sister-in-law, Maria Merlino Perkins, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Entombment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Burlington.
