Family health and safety fair offered

St. Francis of Assisi Community Center, Brant Beach, Long Beach Island Health Department and Hackensack Meridian Health Southern Ocean Medical Center will sponsor its 42nd annual family health and safety fair by St. Francis Community Center, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20in the Community Center gym 4700 Long Beach Boulevard.

The free health screenings will include: vision, blood pressure, osteoporosis, blood sugar, hearing, cholesterol, skin, and dental. Also included will be project medicine drop box, courtesy of Long Beach Township Police Department; residential document shredding, courtesy of Ocean County Department of Solid Waste Management; “How Healthy is Your Colon?” take a walk through a 12-foot colon; preschool activities including vision screening, free giveaways and exercise with hopscotch, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Information on senior services, fitness, alternative medicine, community service, health and safety tips, financial, family services, counseling and Ocean County services will be available.
