Bishop's Anniversary Blessing scheduled for Oct. 6
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
For more than 40 years, the diocese has celebrated the gift of sacramental marriage with anniversary couples. Continuing the tradition, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will extend his Episcopal blessing to couples from all four counties in the diocese during a Eucharistic Liturgy and blessing celebration Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton.
Bishop O’Connell will bless couples in three different groups – those married one year, those married 25 years, and those married 50 or more years – celebrating married couples as witnesses of Christ’s love for the Church.
To register, couples should visit their parish office. Deadline for registration is Sept. 6. The event is coordinated by the diocesan Department of Youth, Marriage and Family Life.
