The Diocese of Metuchen recently removed one of its priests, Rev. Msgr. Raymond Cole, from ministry because of an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor during the 1970s. In 1972, then-Father Cole served two brief assignments in the following parishes: St. Mary, Bordentown, for three months, and Incarnation Parish, Ewing, for 11 days.
Anyone who may have any concerns or information regarding Msgr.
Cole’s ministry is urged to call the Diocese of Metuchen’s Response Officer: Lawrence Nagle, at 732-562-2413 Office (Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.); 908-930-4558 Cellular (24 hours / 7 days a week).
The Diocese of Trenton takes this opportunity to urge anyone who has been sexually abused as a minor by a member of the clergy or anyone representing the Catholic Church, or who knows of someone who was, to report that abuse through the diocesan Abuse Hotline: 1-888-296- 2965 or via e-mail at [email protected].
