A message of thanks from Bishop O'Connell
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
As I continue to regain the use of my left foot following reconstructive surgery, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to those dear members of the Diocese --- priests, deacons, seminarians, religious and faithful --- who have held me in their thoughts and prayers during these past months. You will never know how much your prayers, cards, letters and emails have meant to me. What an outpouring of love and concern! Although I cannot answer each of the literally hundreds of individual messages sent to me, I wish I could!
I read every single one with gratitude and affection. Thank you to each and all of you. Every bishop should be so blessed! I humbly pray that I might continue to serve you as a faithful and loving
Shepherd for all the time the Good Lord gives me.
Most Reverend David M. O'Connell, C.M.
Bishop of Trenton
