As part of a nationwide initiative of Adoration Artists, the 177 Project is coming to Nativity Parish, Fair Haven, Oct. 28, 6:45 to 9 p.m.The Project is an effort by a group of nationally-known Catholic musicians to encourage Eucharistic Adoration, explained Father James Grogan, pastor.

“The name of the initiative is derived from the fact that there are 177 dioceses or archdioceses in the U.S., and the group is working to celebrate Eucharist Adoration in every one of them this fall,” he noted. The schedule for Nativity Parish is: 6:45 p.m., organizers will lead the Rosary, followed by Adoration from 7 to 8 p.m. Reconciliation will be available during that hour. Following Adoration, musical artists Dana Catherine and Jon Niven will offer a free concert of Catholic Christian music.

Jon Niven is a musician originally fromRandolph, Mass., serving as director of family life ministries, St. Paul of the Cross Parish, North Palm Beach, Fl.

“We are very pleased to have Dana and Jon representing the Project for our concert at the Church of the Nativity. It will be an exciting event,” shared Father Grogan.

According to Adoration Artists, the 177 Project “is designed to help spark a renewal in parishes across the country.

We are firm believers in the power of spending time in front of the Eucharist and want to encourage that through a worshipful evening that fosters community within and across parishes.

“Over the course of three months, more than a dozen of the most talented artists in Catholic music will split up into teams of two and visit all 177 different dioceses within the US - including those in Alaska, Hawaii, and St. Thomas.”
