Easter Tradition

On Holy Saturday morning, in the midst of a driving rain, hardy parishioners of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Avon, and some equally hardy visitors, toted baskets filled with the foods they planned to serve on Easter to church for a blessing.

As night began enveloping the landscape on Good Friday, members of Visitation Parish, Brick, entered the church quietly.

Following Where He Trod

Chilly temperatures and hovering dark clouds served as a most appropriate backdrop as some 450 faithful joined in a solemn, slow-moving Good Friday Via Crucis procession that began on the steps of St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, and ambled through the several area streets.
