Collier Youth Services gala raises over $120,000 for Wickatunk School

Collier Youth Services celebrated its 85th anniversary June 8 with a gala held at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club, Farmingdale. The event raised more than $120,000 for Collier’s educational, recreational and residential programs for at-risk youth.

Healthy Future town hall meeting

The Greater Mercer Public Health Partnership (GMPHP) will host a town meeting during which the findings of an assessment of the healthcare needs of Mercer County and surrounding communities will be presented. The meeting will be held July 18 from 8:45 to 10:30 a.m. in ETS on Carter Road, Lawrenceville.

On Sunday, June 10, Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, Bishop David O’Connell, C.M., paid a pastoral visit to the parish of St. Andrew, Jobstown, for a rare and special event – the consecration of its new icon, “Our Lady of Tenderness.” 

Statue taken from Divine Mercy Parish days after break-in

Three days after a man stole a microphone and cell phone from Divine Mercy Parish’s Holy Cross Church, Trenton, a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in front of the convent on the parish’s St. Stanislaus Church campus also went missing.

St. Ann Parish concludes 75th anniversary celebrations

Festivities marking the 75th anniversary year in St. Ann Parish, Lawrenceville, will culminate in an anniversary Mass celebrated by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M. Aug. 5 at 12:30 p.m. and conclude with gala dinner dance Sept. 29 in Stone Terrace, Trenton.

St. Martha Parish to observe 40th anniversary

St. Martha Parish, Point Pleasant, will observe its 40th anniversary July 29. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated at noon by Father Nilo Apura, who became pastor effective July 1. A picnic will follow the Mass.

The Feast of the Assumption at the Jersey Shore planned

The first annual Feast of the Assumption will be presented by Epiphany Parish, Brick Town, Aug. 16, 17 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. and Aug. 18 from noon to 10:30 p.m. on the church grounds located on 615 Thiele Road.
