Advent activities slated throughout Diocese

As the season of Advent approaches, parishes throughout the Diocese of Trenton have planned activities to bring their communities together spiritually and socially. The following events have been announced:

Coming together in a spirit of Christian unity, the pastors and faithful of three Monmouth County parishes joined with their Protestant brothers and sisters in observing the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

Villa Victoria Academy, Ewing, will host a Christmas concert 1:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Villa Victoria Academy Theatre, 376 West Upper Ferry Road.

Parish to host Christmas bazaar

St. Justin the Martyr Parish, Toms River, will hold its annual Christmas bazaar from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at 975 Fischer Boulevard.

Notre Dame High School uses basketball tourney for hurricane relief

The community of Notre Dame High School, Lawrenceville, recently put their basketball skills to use during the school’s first “Hoops for Hope” charity tournament, the proceeds of which will go to aid residents of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean island of Dominica who were impacted by Hurricane Maria.
