Canonization becomes a family affair

The parish family of St. Theresa, Little Egg Harbor, had much to celebrate Oct. 18 as hundreds of parishioners gathered to commemorate the canonization of their patron saint’s parents, Louis and Zelie Martin, and to celebrate their parish’s 65th anniversary.

CWOZ gathering planned Nov. 21

Catholic Women of Zion Chapter II will hold a mini-day retreat for women Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon in St. Pius X Parish, Forked River. The day consists of prayer, guest speaker, sharing and lunch. Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. in the church.

The most significant manifestation of a heart full of faith is joy. On Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Brant Beach, will be hosting a day-long retreat on finding “Joy: the heart of it all.”
