All Souls Mass scheduled for Nov. 3

In commemoration of the Feast of All Souls, Msgr. James Dubell, pastor of St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, Medford, and former diocesan director of cemeteries, will be the principal celebrant of a Mass in St. Mary Mausoleum Building A, Hamilton, Monday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m.

Parish leaders urged to share views on Extraordinary Synod on the Family

A five hour presentation at Georgian Court University Oct. 25 on the journey from the Second Vatican Council to the Extraordinary Synod of Bishops on the Family in Rome, concluded with a call for participants to share their insights on the future needs of the Church with their bishop.

Diocese-wide collection aims to fight poverty

A collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development is slated for Nov. 22-23 in parishes throughout the Diocese. Traditionally held the weekend before Thanksgiving, the collection is taken up in parishes and dioceses nationwide. The theme of this year’s collection is: “Defend Human Dignity. Take Poverty Off the Map.”

A certification course for liturgy and music being offered

The Diocesan Office of Worship and the Ministry of Catechesis and Evangelization will co-sponsor “Noble Simplicity” In Our Rites, Art and Environment,” a certification course for liturgy and music Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church hall, 3816 East State Street Ext., Hamilton.

Funeral services for Father Eugene T. Keenan

A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Father Eugene T. Keenan, 72, retired priest of the Diocese of Trenton, Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel in Morris Hall/St. Lawrence, 2381 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will be private. Father Keenan died Nov. 2.
