Strategies for making Catholic Social Teaching accessible and compelling for youth will be the focus of an online presentation, “Crash Course in Confirmation,” scheduled for Oct. 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Geared for Confirmation preparation catechists, parish catechetical leaders, youth ministers, middle school catechists and teachers, keynote speaker Colin MacIver’s topic is on Catholic Social Teaching and he will offer tips for helping teens to understand the dignity of every person and the call to live their faith in action.

MacIver, author of “The Catechist’s Field Guide to Confirmation,” is a teacher of theology at St. Scholastica Academy in Covington, La. The married father of two also works as a youth minister, musician and author and content provider for Ascension Press.
