WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE A VOCATION AS A DEACON? My discernment process before beginning my diaconate formation was a slow and protracted process. My wife and I had participated in several Bible study classes which sparked me to discern a vocation as a deacon, and the encouragement I received from my wife was the catalyst to begin formation. Serving in various roles including lector and extraordinary minister of Holy Communion also sparked my desire to serve. I would like to share God’s Word in a relatable way, particularly with our youth.
