The following parishes, schools and organizations in the Diocese of Trenton have announced these upcoming events:

Burlington County

Corpus Christi Parish, Willingboro, will hold its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Nov. 15-16 to benefit Catholic Charities’ Emergency Services which will distribute food to the needy of Burlington County. Perishable and non-perishable food donations may be dropped off in the hallway. Needed items include frozen turkeys, boxed stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy (jars or cans), instant potatoes, canned yams or sweet potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, crispy fried onions.

Father John P. Wessel Council, Knights of Columbus, will hold an Oldies Night Nov. 15 from 7-10 p.m. in St. Joan of Arc School, Marlton. Joe D and Johnny B Rockin’ Oldies Band will be featured. Tickets are $15 per person and seating is limited. Attendees should bring their own snacks and beverages. Holy Eucharist Parish, Tabernacle, will offer a Bible Study on “Introduction & Interpretation of the Old Testament” Sept. 15, Oct. 22, Nov. 24 and Dec. 1 from 6:30-8 p.m. in Hoffman Hall. Discussions will focus on the historical and cultural perspectives as well as theological interpretations and will draw on the New Testament and teachings of the Catholic Church. Holy Eucharist Parish, iThirst Additions Support Ministry, will meet Nov. 13 from 7-8 p.m. in Hoffman Hall. The ministry invites anyone who has family or friends in recovery or active addiction to participate. For more information, email [email protected].

Holy Eucharist Parish, Tabernacle, holds Eucharistic Adoration every Wednesday following the 9 a.m. Mass until 4 p.m. Benediction in the daily chapel. For more information on Eucharistic Adoration, scan the QR code found in the parish bulletin. On Nov. 12, Eucharistic Adoration will be extended until 8 p.m. since a Holy Hour will be held from 7-8 p.m. The Holy Hour will include Adoration through prayer, Scripture, music and silence.

Holy Eucharist St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry, Tabernacle, operates by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon. Donations may be dropped off at the food pantry assistance or anytime at the donation container outside the garage. All assistance and information provided is confidential. Persons in need of assistance and live in the zip codes of 08088 and 08019 can call 609-268-0005 and leave name, number and the type of assistance needed.

Mary, Mother of the Church Parish Food Pantry, Bordentown, is open Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 2-3 p.m.; Tuesday from 6-7 p.m., and Thursday from 9-10 a.m. Items needed include canned dog food, coffee, granola bars, applesauce. Holy Assumption’s pantry is closed for repairs. The Food Pantry will hold a Thanksgiving Food Drive Nov. 3-21. Food may be dropped off during operating hours. Needed items include turkeys, apple sauce, mashed potatoes and gift cards to Aldi and Shop Rite.

Mary, Mother of the Church St. Vincent de Paul Society, Bordentown, will collect gift cards to either Aldi, Shop Rite or Acme instead of holding the annual Thanksgiving food drive. The gift cards can be for any amount up to $25 and will be given to the families the society serves to purchase Thanksgiving meal items. Place gift cards in an envelope marked “SVDP Thanksgiving Gift Card” and drop off in the collection basket or brought to the parish office. Deadline is Nov. 16.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Moorestown, will hold a Monthly Mass for Vocations on the Second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Upcoming dates are July 8, Aug. 12, Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and Dec. 9.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Social Concerns Committee, Hainesport, will sponsor the Feed-A-Family program to provide Thanksgiving dinners for people in need. The committee is collecting Thanksgiving baskets with prepared dinners for small/medium-sized families as well as large/extra large families in need. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Maple Shade, will hold a Christmas Bazaar Nov. 22 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the school building and church basement. More than 50 vendors featuring crafts, baked goods, gifts will be available along with photos with Santa. Concessions and refreshments will be available. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Maple Shade, will host a Pre-Advent Soup Sale Nov. 15-16 after all Masses in Noland Hall. Proceeds will benefit the two sister parishes in Kentucky who provide Christmas meals for seniors, needy families and toys for children. Soup is $4 for a 12oz. container. Sacred Heart Parish, Mount Holly, prays the Rosary Chaplet and Miraculous Medal on Saturday mornings at 7:50 a.m. in the church. Daily Mass follows at 8:30 a.m.

St. Ann Parish, Browns Mills, is collecting donations for its Thanksgiving food distribution on Nov. 24. Needed items include canned and non-perishable foods and also turkeys. If bringing a perishable item, inform ushers at Mass so that items may be properly stored.

St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Cinnaminson, has an Adoration Chapel that is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. To schedule an hour in the chapel, call 856-829-3322, ext. 120.

St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Cinnaminson, collects frozen casseroles to be given to the poor of the area. Donations are made on the second Thursday of each month and given to Catholic Charities Emergency Services. St. Charles Borromeo Holy Name Society, Cinnaminson, will hold a Pancake Breakfast Nov. 16 from 8:15 am.-12:15 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. A free breakfast is available if the notice in the parish bulletin is presented at the time of the breakfast. Proceeds will benefit the Holy Name’s charitable funds.

St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Marlton, will hold a 22-week Women’s Bible Study Series beginning Sept. 11. Sessions will meet on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and again in the evenings at 7 p.m. The series, “Keeping in Balance,” is designed to build a deeper relationship with Jesus. St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Marlton, is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Items being collected include boxes of instant mashed potatoes, canned goods (vegetables, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce), jars of turkey gravy, supermarket gift cards (for turkeys, hams, pies). No donations of frozen turkeys are needed. Place all donations outside the food pantry located in the gathering space. St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, Medford, will offer “Meeting Christ in Prayer,” an eight-week guided prayer experience for small groups. It is modeled on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Each meeting teaches and reinforces specific prayer practices such as Lectio Divina, imaginative prayer, meditation, the Examen. Thirty minutes of daily prayer is required by each participant. Thursday evening sessions will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room in the parish office: Sept. 11, 18, 25, Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30, Nov. 13. St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, Medford, will show Season Five of “The Chosen” on Monday evenings Oct. 6-Nov. 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. “The Chosen” is a five-season, 40-episode series portraying the life of Christ and his disciples. The series is non-fiction with heavy focus on Scriptures including the Gospels and some Old Testament foundations, and fiction that does not contradict Scripture. Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Altar-Rosary Society, Hamilton, is holding a Christmas Wreath Sale with proceeds benefiting the parish. St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish Bereavement Support, Hamilton, meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Spiritual Center. The meetings provide an environment that allows individuals the freedom to share stories and faith experiences. St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, Hamilton will hold A Sacred Evening of Song and Worship featuring hymns of praise and peace Nov. 13 from 7-8 p.m. The parish will present a Ministry of the Word Reflection Light Nov. 20 from 7-8 p.m. The evening will explore the upcoming Sunday Gospel for the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, and sacred music reveal Christ’s kingship and the call to discipleship. The evening will include time for prayer, silence and reflection.

Christ the King Parish Food Pantry, Long Branch, will be open Wednesdays from 2:30 to 5 p.m. in the parish hall.

Court St. Denis, Catholic Daughters, Manasquan, is supporting a precursor to The Giving Tree which collects items to be given to the needy children assisted by the Tutwiler Clinic in Tutwiler, Miss. During the first three weeks in October the Court is collecting: dolls, board games, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, infant and preschool toys, children and infant clothing, lightweight jackets, hoodies. Freehold Council, Knights of Columbus, is making Christmas Memorial Trees available for purchase to honor the memory of a loved one. St. Francis of Assisi Community Center, Brant Beach, will hold “The Merry Market Holiday Craft Show” Nov. 22 and 23 from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. More than 70 vendors will be featured. Admission is $3 per person. The Center will hold a Nardi’s Pasta Dinner Fundraiser for the parish food pantry Nov. 23 from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $25 and includes dinner, entertainment. St. Francis of Assisi Parish and Community Center, Long Beach Island, will hold the annual Beefsteak Dinner Dec. 5 in the Community Center gymnasium. St. Mary Academy, Manahawkin, is planning for its annual clothing drive in November. The school is currently collecting clean, used or new men’s women’s and children’s clothing, footwear, outerwear, sleepwear, swimwear, hosiery, undergarments, belts ties, scarves, hats, gloves, handbags, wallets, jewelry, towels, linens, blankets, comforters, bicycles, stuffed animals. Items will be distributed to local thrift shops and areas in need. New, ticketed items should be bagged separately. Do not include books, glass items or kitchen accessories. Visitation Parish St. Vincent De Paul Society, Brick, hosts the “Blessings of Love Sandwich Project.” Every Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. in the parish hall, junior Vincentians and Mini-Vinnies gather with family, friends and neighbors to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the homeless.
