Catechesis for persons with disabilities April 10

The diocesan Holy Innocents Society, in collaboration with Loyola Press, will hold a virtual CATechist CHAT webinar on catechesis for persons with disabilities April 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.
The webinar’s theme is “All Are Welcome … All Belong” and is open to anyone involved with people with disabilities including parents, therapists, pastoral ministers, pastors, parish staff and parishioners. Presenter Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister Kathleen Schipani, former director of the Office for Persons with Disabilities and the Deaf Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will review the guidelines for the celebration of the Sacraments for persons with disabilities; approaches to catechesis, and pastoral ways to include them in parish life.
Sister Kathleen serves on the leadership team for her community. In addition to Sister Kathleen’s presentation, Matthew Decaux, educational consultant for Loyola Press, will speak about Loyola’s adaptive kits.
