The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was highlighted Jan. 20 as parishes and schools around the Diocese participated in works of service to help others in need.

Two Burlington County parishes were bustling bright and early with young parishioners from St. Mary of the Lakes Parish and School, Medford, preparing packages of food and other necessities to assist local agencies. A similar effort took place in nearby Holy Eucharist Parish, Tabernacle, where families assembled meals to be given to the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden.
