PRAY THE ROSARY FOR OUR HOLY FATHER POPE FRANCIS
February 25, 2025 at 10:22 a.m.

Before and after every pastoral trip and on many other occasions, His Holiness Pope Francis visits Rome’s Basilica of Saint Mary Major to pray before the precious icon of the Blessed Mother “Salus Populi Romani” to whom he has great personal devotion.
As Bishop of the Diocese of Trenton, I invite all the clergy, religious and faithful of the Diocese to join me in praying the rosary at home or in Church before Our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament for our Holy Father in this time of his illness. I ask those parishes where the Rosary is prayed in common, to include this special intention among your prayers. Through Mary’s intercession, may God grant him strength and comfort during these days.
Gratefully in our Lord,
David M. O’Connell, C.M.,
Bishop of Trenton
