Dorothy O'Hara, served West End parish in various ways, dies at 83

Dorothy O’Hara, a longtime and active parishioner of St. Michael Church, West End, died July 18 in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was 83.

A Mass of  Christian Burial was celebrated July 25 in St. Michael Church. Entombment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.

Born in 1941 in New York City and raised in Yonkers, N.Y., Ms. O’Hara worked as an executive with AT&T for many years before retiring. She had lived in Bronxville, N.Y., as well as Flemington before setting in Interlaken in 2003. In St. Michael Parish, she assisted with the weekly Masses as well as weddings and funerals and coordinated all special events.

Ms. O’Hara was predeceased by her parents and brother. She is survived by a sister, Barbara Bigalke of Aiken, S.C.
