2025 Lives of Faith: Celebrating ministry milestones

Those who choose religious life or ordained ministry do so out of deep faith, not for recognition. But when we have a chance to thank them for their many years of service to God and his people, we should do so with sincere appreciation.
That’s the purpose of LIVES OF FAITH, The Monitor Magazine’s annual special edition. Each year, this keepsake issue honors clergy and religious across the Diocese who are marking significant anniversaries or entering retirement.
This year’s edition begins with Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., who is celebrating the 15th anniversary of his episcopal ordination. Inside, you’ll find highlights of his ministry and a special Q&A where he reflects on the blessings and challenges of his time as shepherd of the Diocese.
You’ll also find a touching collection of messages from parishes throughout the Diocese, expressing gratitude and support for Bishop O’Connell’s leadership.
Feature stories shine a light on priests and religious marking 25 and 50 years of ministry. Their inspiring stories share how they answered God’s call and continue to live out their vocations today.
