Convocation of Parish Pastoral Councils Sept. 28

A formation day for parish pastoral council members will be offered during a Sept. 28 convocation from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, 3500 S. Broad St., Hamilton. The event will include two presentations and an 11 a.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M.
The morning presenter is Dan Celllucci, CEO of Catholic Leadership Institute who will speak on “How we think about Parish Vitality.” Equipped with the largest study on parish life in the world, Cellucci will share insights from a national study of more than 700,000 Catholics and a framework for local leaders to pursue vitality in their parish.
The afternoon presenter is Tom Corcoran, coauthor of Rebuilt and lay associates to the pastor of Nativity Parish, Timonium, Md. His talk will focus on getting people to move from the pews to ministry based on the Rebuilt’s parish experience of inspiring, encouraging and equipping volunteers.
