This year, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, a holy day of obligation usually celebrated on December 8, will be celebrated on Monday, December 9 because December 8 is the Second Sunday of Advent. (Sundays of Advent outrank any other feasts on the Church calendar.) December 9 remains a holy day of obligation. Please consult your parish bulletin or website for mass schedules and details.
