Burlington County

Corpus Christi Parish, Willingboro, will hold an Advent Spirituality  Day Dec. 7. The day will begin with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 10 a.m. and continue until Benediction at 3:45 p.m. Confessions will be heard at 2 p.m. The regular Saturday Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. For information, call 609-877-5322.

Court St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Riverton, is collecting baby items for First Way of Burlington County. Needed items include diapers, wipes, baby clothes, formula and toiletries. There is an urgent need for diapers sizes 4, 5 and 6. Items may be dropped off in the basement of Sacred Heart Church, Riverton.

First Way of Burlington, which assists pregnant women in need, is in need for three committed volunteers for Mondays from noon to 2 p .m. For more information, call 609-284-7943.

Holy Cross Preparatory Academy, Delran, will hold a “Friends of Holy Cross Car Show” and “Friends of Holy Cross Fall Craft Bazaar” Oct. 26 at the school. Holy Eucharist Parish, Tabernacle, will hold its annual Trunk or Treat Oct. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is open to all children and families of the surrounding area. Candy, food, games, costume and trunk contests will be featured.  The parish will hold a collection for Good Counsel Homes-South Jersey Oct. 26-27 in the Atrium. New items needed for babies include diapers sizes 4, 5 and 6; baby wipes; bottles any size; baby blankets; onesies all sizes. Holy Eucharist St. Vincent de Paul Conference, Tabernacle, has a food pantry that operates by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Persons in need of assistance and reside in Chatsworth, Vincentown, Shamong, Tabernacle or Southampton can call the hotline 609-268-0005 and leave a message with name and number and type of assistance needed. A Society member will return the call within 24 hours. All information remains confidential.

Mary, Mothe of the Church Altar-Rosary Society, Bordentown, will hold a fundraiser at Rocco’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant, 312 W. Front St., Florence, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dine in or take out. Participants must present a flier about the fundraiser in order to benefit from the fundraiser. Fliers are available in the parish bulletin.

Mary, Mother of God Church, Bordentown, will hold a Respect Life Mass Oct. 19. Recitation of he Rosary will be at 9 a.m. followed by Mass. Refreshments will follow.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Maple Shade, will hold OLPH Halloween Town Oct. 19 at 6:15 p.m. The event will include table trick or treating; costume contest; food trucks, music and an inflatable garden. Participants are asked to donate a non-perishable food items for the Maple Shade Food Bank. The parish will hold a Christmas bazaar Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors, crafts, baked goods, gifts, photos  with Santa will be featured.

Sacred Heart Parish, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Riverton, is collecting baby items for First Way of Burlington County. Needed items include diapers, especially sizes 4, 5 and 6wipes, baby clothes, formula, baby shampoo. Items may be dropped off in the bassinet in the side altar nearest the ramp.

Sacred Heart Parish, Riverton, will host its first annual “All Saints Day Trunk or Treat” Nov. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the church parking lot. All cars must pay a $5 admission. Attendees area asked to decorate the trunk of their car and to bring candy for about 200 children. Music, costume parade and prizes will be featured. Cars should arrive by 5:30 p.m. to decorate. Sacred Heart Parish St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mount Holly, will hold a “Friends of the Poor Walk/Run Oct. 19 from 9 to 11 a.m. in  Hainesport Walking Trail, Marne Highway, Hainesport. Santa Maria Council, Knights of Columbus, Mount Holly, will hold its annual Right To Life Baby Shower after all Masses Oct. 26-27. Items will be collected for new babies and expectant mothers. St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Marlton, will host “Walking With Purpose, The Modern Woman’s Guide to the Bible” starting in October. The program seeks to bring women into a deeper relationship with Jesus while also building fellowship with one another. St. John Neumann Parish, Mount Laurel, will host a Praise and Worship Concert Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in the parish hall, 560 Walton Ave. The contemporary Catholic-Christian concert will feature the vocal talents of Barry De Caires, Gianna Leuzzi and Karla Sarlo. Jackie DiLouie is the director and accompanist. Refreshments will follow the concert. Parishioners and visitors of all ages are welcome. A free-will offering will be collected.

St. Joseph Council, Knights of Columbus, Riverton, will host a Trivia Night Oct. 26 in the Family Center of Sacred Heart Parish.

St. Paul School, Burlington, will hold a “Trunk or Treat” Oct. 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the school parking lot. A disc jockey, dancing, pizza, treats and prizes will be featured.

Tabernacle Council, Knights of Columbus, is hosting a Christmas tree fundraiser. Orders for Christmas trees are being accepted. Families can purchase a cut Christmas tree in memory of or in honor of a family member or loved one to be lit on the parish grounds. Trees are $125.

Virtua Health hospitals in Burlington and Camden Counties, see volunteer chaplain aides and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion. There are openings for trained lay visitors  every day of the weeks. Following a training, and orientation process an aide may donate two to four hours each week to visit patients. Mercer County

Hamilton Council, Knights of Columbus, will host a “Coats for Kids Collection” after all Masses Oc. 26-27 and Nov. 2-3. Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Adult Faith Formation, West Trenton, will host a six-session series on “The Eucharist In Scripture”. The series examines the biblical foundations of the Eucharist and explores the Church’s liturgy as the original context for the books of the Bible. Attendees should register by Oct. 9. St. Ann Parish, Lawrenceville, will hold its annual St. Jude Solemn Novena in St. Michael Church Oct. 20-28. Weekday Masses and Novena will be held at 9 a.m. Novena and Benediction will be held each weekday evening at 6 p.m. On Sundays, the 8:30 a.m. Mass  and Novena will be held. There will be no Sunday evening services.

St. David the King Food Pantry, Princeton Junction, continues to accept  non-perishable donations for the RISE food pantry in Hightstown. “Feed the Hungry” bags are available in the gathering space. Items needed included instant mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, crackers, rice, cereal, oatmeal, pasta, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter, jelly, granola bars, pasta sauce, canned fish (tuna and salmon), dry or canned beans, healthy snacks, canned soups, chicken or turkey broth, fruit juice, instant breakfast drink mix, canned or dried fruit, nuts.

St. Gregory the Great Academy, Hamilton Square, will hold a fall craft show Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square, will offer “The Bible and the Church Fathers,” a 12-session video study series from the St. Paul Center. The series explores the teachings of the early Church Fathers and their relevance to the understanding of Scripture and Tradition. Sessions will begin Sept. 12 and run every Thursday through Dec. 5. St. Paul Parish Bible Study, Princeton, will focus on the Book of Exodus during the fall. The program begins Sept. 11. Meetings will be held Wednesday mornings from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Spiritual Center or Thursday evenings online from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Each meeting begins with a video lecture followed by open discussion of the week’s Reading. St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, Hamilton, will host a 24-week Bible study on Matthew’s Gospel. St Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, Hamilton, will hold a parish singalong with Frank Bresnen Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in the All-Purpose Room. Future singalong dates are Dec. 7. The parish will join in a Public Square Rosary Rally in the Rosary Garden Oct. 12 at 11:45 a.m. This is the 107th anniversary of the miracle of the sun of Our Lady of Fatima. Monmouth County

Cardinal Newman Council, Knights of Columbus, Matawan, in conjunction with the American Red Cross will hold The Thomas Cosentino Memorial Blood Drive Oct. 20 from 8:30 to 2p .m. in St. Clement Church, Matawan. Court St. Denis, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Manasquan, is holding its annual cheesecake sale fundraiser. Cakes, pies and cookies are also being offered. Freehold Birthright, an organization that assists girls, women, families, during their pregnancy and after the baby is born, is in need of prolife volunteers. Holy Family Parish, Hazlet, will offer “Five First Saturday in Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oct. 5, Nov. 2, Dec. 7, Jan. 4 and Feb. 2. All are invited to join in making this devotion to the Blessed Mother by partaking in making the five first Saturdays in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Participants will have the opportunity to make a good Confession, attend 8 a.m. Mass, receive Holy Communion and pray five decades of the Holy Rosary. Holy Innocents Parish St. Vincent de Paul Conference, Neptune, is in need of non-perishable items, paper products, personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. The pantry is open after the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday and after the 10 a.m. and noon Masses. Nativity Parish, Fair Haven, will serve as the site of a workshop presented by The Garden Club of Fair Haven Oct. 15 from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. The workshop will cover fall garden maintenance, pruning and dividing perennials, controlling invasive species, prepping the garden for planting bulbs. The workshop is open to the public and there will be time for questions and answers. St. Clement Youth Group, Matawan, along with Delicious Orchards, are sponsoring a Thanksgiving Pie Sale. Orders will be taken after all Masses Oct. 12-13 int eh church lobby. Pie pickup date is Nov. 25 from 4 to 7 p.ml in the parish gym lobby.

St. Denis Parish, Manasquan, has introduced a new initiative “Fifteen:5 – A Catholic Community of Faith, Family and Friends.” The initial program will be for those in their mid-20s through their 40s, single or married. The first meeting, “The Search” will be held Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in the parish center and will continue to meet once a month. St. Denis Parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Conference Food Pantry, Manasquan, is accepting donations of the following items: flour, sugar, crackers, fruit juice, toilet paper, tea, cookies, cooking oil and shaving cream. St. Leo the Great Parish Bereavement Ministry, Lincroft, will host a six-week guided grief session for adults Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and Nov. 6. The sessions provide a safe place for participants to share their experience with others who are grieving the loss of a loved one. St. Mark Social Concerns Program, Sea Girt, is holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit The Center in Asbury Park, a volunteer-based state non-profit organization that provides support services for people with HIV/AIDS and their caregiver. Suggested donations include frozen turkeys and turkey breasts (no more than 15 pounds; frozen pies, butter and refrigerated tube biscuits; instant mashed potatoes; Stovetop stuffing; canned yams, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy as well as coffee, sugar packets, shelf stable milk and tins of cookies. Non-perishable items may be placed in the bins at the front and side entrances to the church. Frozen items may be placed in the upright freezer in the church basement kitchen.

St. Mary Parish, Colts Neck, will host Halloween Halls Oct. 26. The multigenerational event will beg with the 4 p.m. Mass and then continue in Madonna Hall. Theme is “Saints & Superheroes.”

St. Rose High School and St. Rose Grammar School, Belmar, will hold a fall clothing drive Nov. 9 from 8 to 10 a.m. Items may be dropped off at the red brick parking lot. Items that will be accepted include clothing, shoes, accessories, soft household goods, small toys, stuffed animals and blankets. Epiphany Parish, Brick, will hold a 10-week Evening Bible Study on “Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come,” part of the Great Adventure Bible series from Ascension Press.
