Corpus Christi Parish, Willingboro, will hold an Advent Spirituality Day Dec. 7. Holy Eucharist St. Vincent de Paul Conference, Tabernacle, has a food pantry that operates by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Mary, Mother of the Church Parish Food Pantry, Bordentown, is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive through Nov 27. Needed items include turkeys, hams, gravy, mashed potatoes, brownie mix and Shop Rite gift cards. Donations may be brought to the St. Mary site during the food pantry’s hours. Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2 to 3 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m., and  Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m.  

Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Bordentown, will hold a Pancake Breakfast with Santa Dec. 1 from  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. Mary School hall. Tickets purchased in advance are $12 for adults and teens; $6 for children ages 6-12, and free for children aged 5 and under. Tickets purchased at the door are $15 for adults and teens; $8 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Proceeds benefit the Bordentown Council, Knights of Columbus programs.

St. Ann Parish Food Pantry, Browns Mills, is holding a Thanksgiving food distribution Nov. 25. The pantry is collecting the following items: soup, canned corn, peas, stuffing mix, turkey gravy, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, fruit cocktail, canned sweet potatoes, canned tuna, cereal, turkeys and hams. St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Cinnaminson, is hosting the following collections to assist charitable agencies during the Advent season. A clothing drive for children will take place Nov. 30-Dec. 1; a regular food collection will be taken up for Catholic Charities Emergency Services, and the weekend of Dec. 14-15, monetary donations will be collected for Mercy Center, Asbury Park; Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton’s Providence House, and Samaritan Hospice.

St. Isaac Jogues Parish Marlton, is holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Bags will be distributed Nov. 18, 20 and 25. Donations may be placed outside of the food pantry located in the church’s gathering space. Gift cards can be placed in an envelope marked “Thanksgiving” and left in the St. Vincent de Paul box outside the pantry. Needed items include: boxes of instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, canned goods (vegetables, cranberry sauce), jars of turkey gravy, supermarket gift cards (for turkeys/hams, pies. No frozen turkeys.

St. Joan of Arc Parish, Marlton, will host a presentation for persons who have suffered the loss of a spouse Dec. 5 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Pedata Hall. Presenter Cathy Amico will speak on “Life Has Changed Not Ended.”

St. Joan of Arc Parish, Marlton, is holding a St. Nicholas Toy Drive to benefit children served by Mount Carmel Guild, Trenton. New and unwrapped toys, books, crafts, board games, dolls, science kits, cars and trucks or popular toys of the year for children from 1 to 12 years old will be accepted. St. Joan of Arc School PTA, Marlton, will hold a “Mom’s Advent Morning” Dec. 6. The morning will begin with attending the 9 a.m. Mass followed by activities in Pedata Hall. St. Kateri Tekakwitha Council, Knights of Columbus, Marlton, will hold a Breakfast With Santa Dec. 14 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in St. Isaac Jogues Parish Hall, Marlton. Advanced ticket sales are available after all Masses at $10 for adults; $5 at the door and $25 for a family of four. St. Mary of the Lakes Council, Knights of Columbus, Medford, will host its annual Tree Lighting Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. following the Christmas concert. The evening will feature live Nativity characters and animals, Christmas carols, craft tables and refreshments. The Knights are currently accepting reservations and donations for the Christmas Dedication Trees. All proceeds benefit the council’s charitable activities and St. Mary of the Lakes School. Donors may honor a loved one by purchasing a tree. The Knights will decorate the trees with lights and a laminated card with the name of the person being honored. St. Mary of the Lakes Ministry of Consolation, Medford, will hold bereavement support meetings on Tuesdays from Nov. 5 to Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. in the conference room (parish office.) Open for those who have experienced a loss, the group covers a broad range of grief concerns focusing on the journey from grief to healing. All meetings are confidential. St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, Medford, is holding an Advent Parish Mission Dec. 10 in the church. Music begins at 6:45 p.m.  with the mission starting at 7. Dan Palmieri of JMJ Missions will present “Mary: God’s Secret Weapon.” The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available.

St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, Medford, is holding a 16-week series to prepare high school students to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation as well as adults with a deeper understanding or the Catholic faith. Classes are held on Sundays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Class dates are Nov. 25, Dec. 15, Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26, Feb. 2, 16, 23, March 2, 9, 23, 30, April 6, 13, May 4 and 18. St. Paul School is holding a Christmas Wreath Sale. Tabernacle Council, Knights of Columbus, is hosting a Christmas tree fundraiser. Orders for Christmas trees are being accepted. Families can purchase a cut Christmas tree in memory of or in honor of a family member or loved one to be lit on the parish grounds. Trees are $125.

Mercer County

Ewing Council, Knights of Columbus, is hosting a Coats for Kids program in which monetary donations are being collected to purchase coats for underprivileged children. Contributions may be mailed to Knights of Columbus Council 3756, Cots for Kids, P.O. Box 7647, Ewing, N.J. 08628. The council will sell “Keep Christ in Christmas” car magnets and Christmas cards at all Masses the weekend of Nov. 30-Dec. 1 in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Ewing. Cost is $5 per magnet and proceeds will benefit the council’s charities.

Hamilton Council, Knights of Columbus, is accepting donations of clothing. Donations may be placed in the two bins on the campus of St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square.

Incarnation Church, Ewing, will serve as the site for a concert, “The World’s Desire” presented by the Caritas Chamber Chorale Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. A freewill offering will be taken up to support the Adorno Fathers’ African Mission.

Incarnation-St. James Parish, Ewing, will host a Breakfast with Santa Dec. 15 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the auditorium of Incarnation Church. Breakfast will be available from 9 to 10:30 and Santa will visit from 9:15 to 10:15. Crafts, food and music will be featured. Incarnation-St. James Religious Education Program, Ewing, will hold a sock drive from Dec. 1-31 to benefit the Salvation Army. Donations may be placed in the boxes found at the front entrance of both worship sites. Donations may also be purchased through the Amazon Wish list using the QR code in the parish bulletin.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, West Trenton, is participating in a Christmas Gifting Outreach where parishioners purchase gifts for people in need. Gift tags are available in the front church vestibule. This year’s tags include infants (0-2 years), toddler (2-4 years), children (5-10) and teenagers (11-13). Gifts should be unwrapped with tags attached and returned to the parish hall by Dec. 8.

Our Lady of Sorrows Altar-Rosary Society, Hamilton, will host a Christmas Wreath Sale. The 12” balsam wreath is decorated with pine cones, red decorative balls and a ribbon. All wreaths are available either with or without a stand. To place an order, complete  form found in the parish bulletin and submit with a check made payable to the Rosary Altar Society and return it in the collection basket or the parish office in an envelope marked: “Christmas Wreath Order” no later than Dec. 2. Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Hamilton, will hold an “Adopt a Child/Family” in which gifts will be collected for children and families in need. Princeton Boy Scout Troop will hold a Christmas wreath sale after all morning Masses Dec. 1 in St. Paul Parish, Princeton. Decorated wreaths are $35 and undecorated wreaths are $25.

St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Hightstown, will host “An Introduction to the Gospels – Four Portraits of Jesus.” Sessions will meet on Tuesdays, Nov. 12, 19, 26 and Dec. 3. Moring sessions will meet in the Community Room from 9:45-11:15 a.m. Evening sessions will meet in the school building, Classroom 23 (second floor) on Thursdays, Nov. 14, 21, Dec. 5 and 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Presenter is Martin Arsenault. Session one will present a brief overview of the culture and context in which Jesus preached and the Gospels were written. Session one will continue with an introduction to the unique portrait of Jesus  that is presented in Mark’s Gospel. Session two will introduce the themes and characteristics of the Gospel of Matthew. Session three will focus on the unique portrait of Jesus in Luke’s Gospel. Session four will focus on John’s Gospel and the signs Jesus performed.

St. David the King Parish, Princeton Junction, will host a Christmas Giving Tree. Gift tags can be selected after Masses the weekend of Dec. 7-8. St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square, will offer “The Bible and the Church Fathers,” a 12-session video study series from the St. Paul Center. The series explores the teachings of the early Church Fathers and their relevance to the understanding of Scripture and Tradition. Sessions will begin Sept. 12 and run every Thursday through Dec. 5. St. Paul Parish, Princeton, will host its next speaker series Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Robert George, a parishioner and McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, will present, “Catholicism in the Civic Order.”

St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, Hamilton, will host a 24-week Bible study on Matthew’s Gospel. The study will begin Sept. 25 and will be held for 24 Wednesdays from 7 to 8:15 p.m. in the All Purpose Room. Fee is $35 and registration is required. St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish Bereavement Support, Hamilton, meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Spiritual Center. The meetings provide an environment that allows individuals the freedom to share stories and faith experiences. Court St. Denis, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, is holding a poinsettia and wreath sale Dec. 7-8.

Francis House of Prayer, 84 Walnford Rd., Allentown, will host a Personal Retreat Day Dec. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The day begins and ends with brief prayer. Freehold Birthright, an organization that assists girls, women, families, during their pregnancy and after the baby is born, is in need of prolife volunteers. Our Lady of Hope Parish, West Long Branch, will host a five-part adult faith enrichment program -- Bishop Robert Barron’s “Eucharistic Sacred Meal, Sacrifice and Real Presence.” Sessions will be held Nov. 7, 14, 21, Dec. 5 and 12 in the parish office meeting room of St. Jerome Church, West Long Branch. The weekly sessions will focus on material covered by Bishop Baron in his book, “This Is My Body: A Call to Eucharistic Revival” in addition to his featured DVD presentation. The parish collaborates with area churches. Gift tags with the age and gender of the child will be placed in baskets at the doors of the church beginning the weekend of Nov. 23-24. Toys or gift cards may be purchased and then return to St. Theresa’s the weekend of Dec. 14-15. Toys must be brand new and unwrapped. Monetary donations are also accepted to purchase coats, shoes, clothes.

Visitation Parish Music Ministry, Brick, will hold a Christmas concert Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. int eh church. There is no admission but a freewill offering will be collected to benefit the parish’s St. Vincent de Paul conference. Refreshments and photos with Santa will follow.
