The City of Trenton has a new street name -- Fr. Brian McCormick Way.

A ceremony was held Nov. 20 during which the new street sign name was unveiled, honoring Father Brian McCormick, for his nearly 50 years of service as president of the Martin House Community Justice Foundation.

Father McCormick, who retired from Martin House in 2012, had tirelessly devoted his priestly life to working among, ministering to and championing for thousands of poor adults and children living in one of the poorest sections of the City of Trenton by helping them to improve their lives through housing and educational opportunities.

Among those gathered at the ceremony were former Martin House staff members, volunteers and folks who had participated in the various Martin House services; current staff of the Better Community Housing of Trenton; brother priests, and family members of Father McCormick.
