Father Michael Lankford-Stokes was installed as the 10th pastor of Holy Cross Parish, Rumson, by Bishop David M. O'Connell, C.M., during a Nov. 17 Mass held in the parish church.

Bishop O'Connell was principal celebrant of the Mass. He was joined at the altar by Father Lankford-Stokes, who was homilist, and several priests from the Diocese as well as friends and colleagues with whom Father Lankford-Stokes has served in ministry during his nearly 33 years of priesthood.

"The installation of a pastor is a time of great joy and celebration for a parish," Bishop O'Connell said, looking out to the congregation that included parishioners, parish staff and volunteers, students and staff from Holy Cross Academy and folks from other neighboring parishes.
