It was standing room only in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Asbury Park, as hundreds gathered to celebrate their parish school’s 100th anniversary. The Mass was celebrated by both current and former priests, and had many alumni singers and musicians travel from many areas to participate in the Mass.
During the Presentation of the Gifts, students brought up 10 candles representing the 10 decades of sisters, principals, teachers, alumni, benefactors, and deceased members of the school community.
The school also received a papal blessing from Pope Francis.
