Members of some 14 parish Altar Rosary Societies will gather for a Lourdes Virtual Pilgrimage Experience June 1 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River.

The event, to be presented by Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality North American Volunteers, will give participants an opportunity to strengthen their faith to God through the intercession of the Blessed Mother and St. Bernadette. During the pilgrimage, participants will: immerse themselves in the message of Lourdes as given by the Blessed Mother to St. Bernadette; receive a Eucharistic blessing and pray during a candlelight Rosary.

At the end of the pilgrimage, participants will receive a bottle of Lourdes water and a prayer sheet and they will also prepare a petition that will be placed in the Grotto in Lourdes, France, by representatives of the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality North American Volunteers. A plenary indulgence will also be granted to all who attend.

Admission is free but a freewill offering will be collected.

For more information, contact JoAnn D’Anton, president of the Altar Rosary Society in St. Joseph Parish, at 732-3490018, ext. 2223, or Mary Powers, president of the Altar Rosary Society in St. Junipero Serra Parish, Seaside Park, at 732-575-6753.
