Accepting applications for Bishop Reiss religious Ed scholarship

For ministry leaders seeking to grow their religious education background, grant applications for the Bishop John C. Reiss Religious Education Scholarship fund are now available via the diocesan Department of Catechesis.
In memory of Bishop Reiss, eighth Bishop of Trenton, the fund bearing his name provides scholarships to help cover tuition costs for continuing education in religion or theology for those who teach the Catholic faith in the Diocese’s parishes and schools. The scholarship may be applied to a course, conference or seminar through any accredited Catholic college or university, in-person or online. This coursework should be beyond catechist certification or other basic levels of ministry formation (diocesan training).
Applications for 2024 scholarship awards are due by April 15. The criteria for eligibility is listed at dioceseoftrenton.org/ bishop-john-c-reiss-religious-education-scholarship. Awards will be announced in the spring following review of the applications by the Bishop John C. Reiss Scholarship Board.
