Items may be dropped off in the basement of Sacred Heart Church, Riverton.
1st Way Life of Burlington Pregnancy Center, 500 High St., Burlington, needs donations of the following items: Enfamil formula, baby cereal, stage 1 baby food, diapers sizes 5, 6 and 7, size 5t/6t pull-ups, baby towels, burp cloths, receiving blankets, 0-3 month sleepers. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Council, Knights of Columbus, Maple Shade, will hold a spaghetti dinner July 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Nolan Hall. Tickets are $15 per person; $5 for children ages 8 to 12; children under age 7 are admitted free.

St. Ann Parish, Browns Mills, will host the Feast of St. Ann Novena July 17 to July 26. Prayer intention forms may be found in the parish bulletin. St,. Katharine Drexel Parish, Burlington, will host a Christmas In July celebration July 25 at 6:30 p.m. on the lawn area next to St. Paul Church. The gathering will include singing Christmas carols. Participants are asked to bring a lawn chair. Refreshments will be served in the event of inclement weather the event will be held in the church.
St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Marlton, will host an “Ask a Priest Night” for young adults ages 18 to 39 July 12 at 6 p.m. in Ott’s Restaurant, 656 Stokes Rd., Medford. The evening will be led by Father Jim Smith, pastor of St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Marlton and will give young adults an opportunity to ask him questions and share conversation. Mercer County
Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, West Trenton, is hosting a Back-to-School drive for children in grades K-12during July and August. Donated items may include backpacks; two-pocket folders, subject and composition notebooks, three-ring binders, looseleaf paper, erasers, pens/pencils, pencil boxes, crayons, markers, glue sticks, rulers, protractors, scissors, sharpeners, calculators, dictionaries or gift certificates. Donations may be left in the parish hall. Items will be given to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton and Mount Carmel Guild at the end of August.
Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Hamilton, in collaboration with the Lumen Christi Cohort, will celebrate the Feast of Sts. Anne and Joachim with a July 26 Mass at 12:15 p.m. in St. Anthony Church, South Olden Ave., Hamilton. Celebrant and homilist will be Father Brian Butch, pastor of St. Anselm Parish, Wayside. Christ the King Parish, Long Branch, will observe the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel July 13 in Holy Trinity Church. The celebration will include recitation of the Rosary at 4 p.m.; Mass at 5 with procession around the church campus. A dinner will follow in the parish hall.
Francis House of Prayer, 84 Walnford Rd., Allentown, will offer a seven-day Silent Centering Prayer Retreat from Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. to Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. The retreat will offer times for silent reflection as well as opportunities for communal Centering Prayer periods which is usually preceded by 20 minutes of Lectio Divina. Freehold Birthright, an organization that assists girls, women, families, during their pregnancy and after the baby is born, is in need of prolife volunteers. Nativity Parish, Fair Haven, is collecting the following items for military troops: any kind of nuts: peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc.; trail mix; beef jerky; powdered drink mix that can be poured into water bottles; protein and granola bars; dried fruit snacks; popcorn (microwavable); gum and hard candy; Rice Krispie treats; feminine hygiene products; laundry soap sheets; tissues in small packs; sunscreen; socks and cooling bandanas. Our Lady of Hope Parish, West Long Branch, gathers for recitation of the Rosary and consecration to the Blessed Mother every Thursday at 1 p.m. in the church hall of St. Mary Church, Deal. St. Mary Parish, Colts Neck, will host its Summer Sounds concert series, a community choral program composed of local singers and a professional orchestra. This year’s series will feature a classical masterwork by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart entitled “The Sparrow Mass,” K220. In addition, the program will feature the secular choral work, “Intimations of Immorality” by local composer Michael John Trotta with text by William Wordsworth. St. Veronica Parish, Howell, will hold a Eucharistic Triduum July 17-19, commemorating the first three days of the National Eucharistic Congress taking place in Indianapolis. The schedule includes: Morning Prayer (Lauds) at 7:10 a.m.; Mass, Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and communal recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 a.m. The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed at 11:30. St. Dominic Parish, Brick, will host its second annual classic, custom and luxury car show Aug. 9from 5 to 9 p.m. the event will include food trucks and vendors, live music, blessing of the cars and awards. St. Francis Counseling Service, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach Island, offers support for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Free and confidential services are available to Ocean County residents with children under age three who have experienced trauma and have postpartum symptoms. The program’s goal is to provide counseling for parents in the perinatal period, addressing new parenthood struggles, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden infant death syndrome and trauma. St. John Parish Respect Life Committee, Lakehurst, is collecting a drive to benefit Birthright and Open Door pregnancy centers. St. John Parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Conference, Lakehurst, needs the following items for its food pantry: coffee (canned), tea bags, pasta sauce, boxed pasta (except elbow macaroni and spaghetti), hearty soups, canned white tuna and chicken, cereal for children and oatmeal, canned ravioli. Sugar free items such as jams, jellies, pancake syrup are also needed. food can be drooped in the blue bin in the church hall anytime the church is open. Frozen or refrigerated food should be brought to the pantry on Monday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m.
St. Mary Parish, Barnegat, will hold its “Nights of Summer” carnival July 16-21 from 6 to 10:30 p.m. There is no admission fee and there is free parking. Food, face painting, a dunk tank and entertainment will be provided each night. Themes are “Remember When” on Tuesday; “Lady Di and BTK country line dancing and an exhibition by Dance Expressions on Wednesday; The Kootz Band on Thursday; Latino music and dancing on Friday; Reflections Station on Saturday; Band of Angels on Sunday.

St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, Lavallette will host an evening with Father Pio Mandato Aug. 1 in the church at 1100 Grant Ave. Father Mandato and fellow priests will hear Confessions from 5:30 to 7 p.m., during which time the Rosary will be recited and testimonies of healing will be shared. At 7 p.m., Father Mandato will lead Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and healing prayer with the blessing of St. Pio’s relic and stigmatic glove. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will follow. Father Mandato is a Franciscan priest living as a missionary hermit. He was born in Italy and along with his brother received his First Holy Communion from St. Pio. He grew up in New Jersey and entered the Capuchin Francsicans at age 17. He was ordained a priest in 1985. In 1998, he was accepted into the Diocese of Scranton, Pa. and now lives a life of solitude, prayer and intercession. He is also chaplain to the Capuchin Sisters of Nazareth and at times is engaged in the preaching apostolate. For information, contact [email protected]
The Women of St. Monica, Jackson, is hosting a “Salt for Blessing” fundraiser/evangelization opportunity. Salt shakers will be labeled with person’s parish name and attached on every bottle is a scroll that explains the history, Biblical references and uses. For 100 bottles, cost is $5 per bottle; 200 bottles, cost is $4.75 per bottle, and 300 bottles, cost is $459 per bottle. Once bottles are purchased they can be blessed. Father Mandato is a Franciscan priest living as a missionary hermit. He was born in Italy and along with his brother received his First Holy Communion from St. Pio. In 1998, he was accepted into the Diocese of Scranton, Pa. and now lives a life of solitude, prayer and intercession.
