Parishes in the Diocese of Trenton have scheduled the following events:
St. Dominic Youth Group, Brick, will host its annual pasta dinner Jan. 27 in the parish center located at 250 Old Squan Rd. Dinner seating is at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale after all Masses Jan. 20-21. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children ages four and older. Children under age four are admitted free. Dinner includes soup, salad, entrée, dessert, coffee, tea soft drinks and entertainment. For information, email [email protected].
Nativity Parish, Fair Haven, will host an online presentation of “Journey to The Church of the Holy Sepulchre” Jan. 28. Tour guide Manuel Imad Abuali and Journey of Faith Tours facilitator, Carolyn Norbut, will lead the Zoom presentation starting at 12:30 p.m. The tour and talk will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a question/answer session. At 2:30, there will be recitation of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet for Peace in the World. A freewill offering will be accepted. Reservations are required. To register, visit [email protected].
St. Rose Parish, Belmar, will host a 10-week Scripture class, “The Prophets: Messengers of God’s Mercy,” beginning Jan. 29. Veneration of the relic begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. A Mass for St. Jude will be celebrated at 7 p.m. The relic is traveling throughout the United States with St. Dominic Parish serving as one of the stops. Known as the “apostle of the impossible,” St. Jude is revered for his unwavering dedication and steadfast faith. To learn more about the relic, visit ApostleOfTheImpossible.com.
St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square, will host a four-week presentation on “Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist.” Presentations will be held on Thursdays, Feb. 1 to Feb. 22. Morning sessions will be at 9:30 a.m. and evening sessions will be at 7 p.m. Fee is $10 per participant and includes book. No charge for students in grades seven to 12 when accompanied by an adult participant. Since space is limited, early registration is suggested. Prince of Peace Council, Knights of Columbus, Manalapan, will host its second annual Valentine’s Dinner Dance Feb. 10 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. in Petri Hall of St. Thomas More Parish, 186 Gordon’s Corner Rd., Manalapan. The theme will highlight “Nostalgia.” Cost is $45 per person and includes buffet dinner, cake, coffee and dancing. Proceeds will benefit the council and the parish.
