Gathered in the auditorium of St. Mary of the Lakes School, Medford, the majority of the young people worked in assembly line fashion preparing bags of food to be given to a number of outreach agencies in Mercer, Burlington and Camden Counties as well as in Philadelphia. Each bag, decorated with a smiley face made by the younger children, contained either a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a bologna and cheese sandwich, a piece of fruit, a bottle of water and a snack, such as a granola bar.
