Deacons reminded to keep Christ at the forefront of their ministry

Some 129 deacons and 27 wives gathered for the annual Convocation of Deacons held Oct. 20-21 held in Princeton.

With "The Commitment of Mind, Heart and Strength in Service to God's People" as the theme, the convocation featured keynote speaker Father Patrick Brady, vice rector of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnewood, Pa.

Father Brady gave a three-part presentation on the topics of "Paul's Eucharistic Theology and the Commitment to Life in Christ;" "Unwavering Hope in Ministry," and "The Mercy of Ministry."

The convocation also included the celebration of Mass with Msgr. Thomas Mullelly, episcopal vicar for clergy and consecrated life, as principal celebrant.
