A great time to be Church
March 8, 2023 at 10:18 p.m.
The upcoming commemoration of Pope Francis’ 10th anniversary as pontiff is the joy-filled subject of The Monitor Magazine’s latest COVER and IN FOCUS section. We invite our readers to spend some reflecting on the many ways that the Pope has created a Legacy of Love in his guidance of the Church over this last decade.
As is so often the case, the latest issue offers coverage to inspire and empower our exercise of faith, which may be especially helpful at this mid-point of the current penitential season when some of us may need that little push to stay in our Lenten lane. We encourage readers to look for Bishop O’Connell’s essay on how to continue with our intentions of making a good Lent this year.
Here are but a few highlights of the content you will find in the March issue:
A DYNAMIC CHURCH . . . Coverage of the journey through which hundreds of individuals in the Diocese of Trenton are preparing this year to enter the Catholic Church; Reporting on a conference that drew throngs of Catholic men for talks and Mass with the Bishop; as well as young adults who gathered to explore their faith lives.
PARISHES AND PEOPLE . . . Manalapan parish brings families together for shared activity; Rosarians assist local pro-life entities through Bread for Life campaign; Msgr. Kenard Tuzeneu pens first novel; Bishop celebrates investiture Mass ahead of St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Belmar
OUR SCHOOLS . . . Annual PTA spring conference reminds members of call to service; Diapers, baby supplies collected by student athletes to aid mothers in need
BEREAVEMENT . . . Parish Lazarus ministries, funeral homes give families peace of mind, guidance during funeral process
ALSO …. Be sure to look for: Father Koch’s Scripture reflection; Mary Morrell uncovers the ‘hidden presence’ of St. Joseph in our daily prayers; Sobering reports on child labor law violations in the U.S.; The unsinkable spirit of the Ukrainian people as the war passes one-year mark; Value of each human life reflected in earthquake rescue efforts
The March magazine’s print edition has been mailed to all PREMIUM SUBSCRIBERS and the digital edition link has been sent to their inboxes. Subscribers also have unlimited access to all content on TrentonMonitor.com.
