Men of the Diocese of Trenton are invited to experience prayer, camaraderie and engaging speakers at the 26th annual Catholic Men for Jesus Christ Conference slated for Feb. 25 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square. The conference, which bears the theme “Living Joy, rediscover it and live it every day,” will feature a slate of presenters including Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., who will serve as principal celebrant and homilist of the Mass.

Other speakers include:

Chris Stefanick, an internationally acclaimed author, speaker, and television host who has devoted his life to sharing the love of Jesus, and helping others do the same. His live seminars, TV, radio, and video ministry have reached millions, and his educational initiatives are turning the tide in the Church. He authored a confirmation prep program that’s been used by over a million people, the popular SEARCH program, and most recently released another bestseller, “Living Joy.”

Stefanick is a recipient of the Papal Benemerenti Medal for achievement in ministry. A graduate of the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, he is founder and president of Real Life Catholic, a non-profit organization that makes his initiatives for renewal a reality. He and his wife, Natalie, have six children and two grandchildren.

Gerry Cooney is a retired boxer, businessman, radio announcer and author who has enjoyed success in and out of the ring. The New York City native and world-class heavyweight battled Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks and George Foreman before retiring in 1990 with a record of 28-3 with 24 knockouts; he was ranked 53rd on Ring Magazine’s list of 100 greatest punchers of all time.

Today, Cooney tells his story and lends his support to various charities as a vocal advocate speaking out against drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence. In his free time, he enjoys golf and teaches boxing. Cooney and his wife, Jennifer, reside in New Jersey and have three children.

Mark Houck is founder and president of The King’s Men, Inc., and an author and internationally known motivational speaker who helps others become better leaders, protectors and providers. As a former All-American collegiate athlete and high school coach, Houck has drawn on his personal pursuit of excellence in sports to encourage and mentor thousands across North America and Europe.

Through his seasoned life experience as a human resource manager, youth counselor and high school teacher, Houck brings practical insight and wisdom to all his presentations. A husband and father of seven children, he earned a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from The Catholic University of America, Washington, and a master’s degree in education from Holy Family University, Philadelphia.

A separate young men’s program track hosted by Cooney is designed for students from eighth grade to college age in partnership with Catholic Athletes for Christ.

Registration for adults is $45 in advance or $50 at the door. Student registration is $25. Breakfast and lunch are included. To order tickets, or for further information, see CatholicMenforJesusChrist.org, or call 609-587-4877. St. Gregory the Great Parish is located at 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
