Parishes in the Diocese of Trenton have scheduled the following events:
Holy Innocents Parish, Neptune, will hold a TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS with Gregorian Chant Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. in the church located at 3455 W. Bangs Ave. The Traditional Latin Mass is currently celebrated on the third Sunday of the month.
St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, Hamilton, will host a five-week series on “A BIBLICAL WALK THROUGH THE MASS” beginning Feb. 21. Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the All Purpose Room located at 3500 S. Broad Street. In the series, Dr. Edward Sri explores the roots of the words and gestures experienced at Mass and explains their significance. Registration fee is $35 and deadline to register is Jan. 31. St. Ann Parish, Lawrenceville, will host a presentation, “REVIVING SUNDAY: WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO?” Jan. 9 from 7 to 8:15 p.m. in the church located at 1253 Lawrenceville Rd. Presenter is Sister of St. Joseph Sandy DeMasi, pastoral associate for liturgy in St. Rose of Lima Parish, Short Hills.
Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, West Trenton, will host the Central Jersey Choral Society’s presentation of LAUDA SION by Felix Mendelssohn and REQUIEM by Gabriel Faure Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the church located at 137 W. Upper Ferry Rd. Tickets, at $20 if purchased in advance or $25 at the door, may be obtained at cjchoralsociety.org. Christopher Loeffler is the artistic director.
