The Christmas story is worth telling over and over again

One would think that after more than 2,000 years, people would tire of telling and hearing the Christmas story.
“And yet, they never have, and I suspect they never will,” Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., said in his homily during the Christmas morning Mass he celebrated in St. David the King Church, Princeton Junction.

Christmas, he said, is the time to recall “that God became man, that the Word became Flesh and dwelt among us.
“That has an impact on us; it has an effect on us; it means something important and changes us,” Bishop O’Connell said. "Humanity is different because Jesus Christ – the Lord of Lords, the Prince of Peace, the long-awaited Messiah, the Eternal Savior – became one of us in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary and was born in Bethlehem.
“How could we be the same after recognizing that?" Bishop O'Connell said. "It is news, good news! it is a story truly worth repeating!”
St. David the King was the second Christmas visit Bishop O’Connell made to a parish with the first being St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Hightstown, where he celebrated Mass the evening before.
