Parishes in the Diocese have scheduled the following events:

St. Dominic Parish, 250 Old Squan Rd., Brick, will host a NEW YEAR’S EVE DINNER AND DANCE PARTY Dec. 31 from 7:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tickets, at $115 per adult and $45 for persons under 21, include five-course buffet dinner and music and dancing with DJ GREG. A gift auction will also be held. Proceeds will benefit the parish’s Blessed Carlo Acutis Shrine. For tickets, contact the parish office at 732-840-1410 or Father Marian Kokorzycki, parochial vicar, at 732-737-1205.

St. Mary Parish, Barnegat, will host an ADVENT PARISH MISSION, “IGNITING THE LIGHT OF CHRIST WITHIN YOU,” Dec. 17 and Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop way.

The two nights will be presented by Paul Koleske, a Catholic lay evangelist and musician.

The Dec. 17 presentation, “Connecting with the Light of Christ,” will feature Koleske sharing his conversion story from being “a lukewarm Catholic to a believer in miracles.” He will talk about the Real Presence in the Eucharist and the necessity of Mass attendance as well as about bringing loved ones who have lapsed in their faith back to Church.

The Dec. 18 presentation, “Experiencing the Light of Christ,” will feature Koleske teaching about trusting in God. He will share practical ideas on what Catholics can do to break the mental cycles of anxiety, fear, doubt, worry and guilt. He’ll discuss the importance of prayer in a busy world.

St. John the Baptist Parish, Allentown, will host a WINTER MUSIC RECITAL Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the choir room of the religious education building at 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd. All are welcome to enjoy an evening of piano solos, opera arias, Broadway show tunes and more. Donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish Holy Name Society, Lavallette, will host a NEW YEAR’S EVE GALA Dec. 31 in the parish hall located at 103 Washington Ave. Doors open at 8 p.m. and music and dancing will go from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Cost is $25 per person and includes party favors, coffee, dessert, soda and water.
