What’s in store for readers in The Monitor Magazine’s May issue?

Set for publication in early May, the next issue of The Monitor Magazine will feature the annual ORDINATION PREVIEW – introducing the men who will be ordained in the coming month to the diaconate and priesthood.

In our SPECIAL FEATURE on the Sacrament of Confirmation, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., shares with readers some of the inspiring messages he delivers to Confirmation candidates throughout the Diocese and reflects on why he considers it a great privilege to have administered this Sacrament to many young people and adults over the past decade and more.

It’s that time of year again, when some of our priests receive new pastoral assignments.  The May issue will have the full list of retirements, new pastors, parochial vicars and special assignments.

Look for lots of local stories from our parishes and schools – including the 100th anniversary of St. Peter School in Point Pleasant Beach, a ground-breaking program in St. Rose High School, Belmar, to support mental health needs and a round-up about youngsters from across the Diocese who are reaching out to help others.

These are but a few highlights of the issue coming out on or about May 7.  Sign up HERE to receive the E-edition alone or with the print magazine.  Don’t miss another issue!
