Joseph W. Pfleger, father and brother of two priests, dies

Mr. Pfleger was the father of Father Matthew Pfleger, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Union Beach, and brother of Father Phillip C. Pfleger, pastor of St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Marlton, and St. John Neumann Parish, Mount Laurel.
Visitation will be held April 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. in St. Isaac Jogues Church, 349 Evesboro-Medford Rd., Marlton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated April 29 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Isaac Jogues Church.
Mr. Pfleger was born in 1949 in Manchester, Tenn., and lived in Lakewood before moving to Forked River. He worked in computer sales and networking.
Mr. Pfleger was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lucille Pfleger and his wife, Catherine P. Pfleger. In addition to his priest-son and priest-brother, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Jason) Spiegel, and granddaughters, Anna, Julia and Lydia Spiegel.
Burial will be in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood.
